haku first met naruto in a the forest. naruto was flat on his back. fast asleep with drool dripping in the corner of his mouth. haku woke him up sayin he shouldn't be sleeping out here coz he'll catch cold. heck! that's how sweet haku is ...XP then they talk.

naruto keeps calling haku lady. haku asked why he's out here. naruto says he's practicing to become strong. why asks, haku. because i want to be a hokage so that everyone will acknowledge me and i also need to prove my strength to someone. haku was silent for a moment, then he asked, is that for you or for someone else? naruto was all, huh? haku giggled and rephrased the question, do you have someone who is important to you? naruto was still all question marks.

haku remembered how he and zabuza-san first met. (interesting thing here, zabuza's shadow as it was cast upon haku was in the shape of something foxlike! now am wondering if his shadow was always like that because he is demon zabuza...)haku was silent for a while as he sat remembering. then he looked at naruto. what? ask naruto. haku explained that when one has someone important to protect, one becomes stronger. finally naruto understood as he remembered moments when he and his friends became stronger protecting a loved one. haku smiled, glad they understood each other.

he got up to leave and walked away. with his back to naruto, he said, you will become stronger. let's meet again somewhere. sure says naruto, all enthusiasm. oh, says haku, and im a boy. with that parting shot, he was gone, leaving naruto utterly shock and puzzled.

they met again when naruto butted in during is haku and sasuke's fight but ended up making the situation worst than before. he laid unconcious as sasuke rushed to save his hide. as he was slowly coming back, he saw haku on the ground and sasuke standing before him. as usual sasuke said, all you do is get in the way. naruto started to say something when he looked up and realized, sasuke had needles on his neck. what's with that face, sasuke sneered. why, asked naruto. i dunno says, sasuke. my body moved on its own. then he fell, naruto caught him. sasuke then closed his eyes and was lost to the world.
