the team kakashi minus naruto left for the bridge which is now nearly complete. arriving there they found the workers dead. one nearly dead worker told kakashi that it was a monster who did it. the mist was starting to thicken. everybody got ready as they realized zabuza was here. from the mist again, he taunt them, seeing how sasuke was trembling again. suddenly, several zabuzas surround them. i'm shaking from excitement, sasuke smirked and kakashi let him slash the mizu bunshin back to water.

some feet away from them, appeared zabuza and haku. it seems the brat has grown, says zabuza. a worthy opponent for haku. haku and sasuke proceed to fight. as sasuke was able to keep up and even at a time surpassed haku's speed, haku proceeded to do his special jutsu. kakashi moved in to help sasuke but zabuza intercepted him, your opponent is me. naruto made his entrance. zabuza threw some shuriken towards him but haku deflected them with his needles saying he should leave the kids to him. and so it was zabuza against kakashi again.

kakashi started to unveil his sharingan. sharingan again? mocked zabuza. but before kakashi could show his sharingan, zabuza rushed to stab his eye out but kakashi blocked it with his right. you're honored to see it twice, says kakashi. but even if you beat me, you can't win against haku. even i can't beat him, boasted zabuza. it's boring to hear a man bragging, let's get it on, says kakashi. wait, says zabuza, i got to say this, and proceeds to throw back to kakashi what he had said to him: i don't fall for the same jutsu twice. he had now seen what the sharingan can really. again zabuza released the hidden mist and disappeared. this time the mist was too thick. kakashi figured out that even zabuza can't even see thru it.

then from everywhere...shurikens. as kakashi blocked them, from behind appeared zabuza, who to kakashi's surprise had his eyes closed. this, according to zabuza, is to make the sharingan useless as part of the sharingan's system involves genjutsu or hypnotism. again shurikens from zabuza. kakashi struggled to block them as the mist slows down his reaction by impairing his vision. he cries, but you can't see in the mist too...zabuza replies, you forgot that i am an expert in silent killing. kakashi feeling very tense commanded himself to relax and figure out where would zabuza strike out first. then he realized it would be...behind tazuna and blocked the blow just in time but had himself slashed across the chest.
